Our Company’s Story is One for the Books

When my mother-in-law fell victim to a shady moving company and faced a 300% increase in her moving bill, I couldn't just stand by. This was for a woman who needed to move everything to a storage facility less than one mile away from her two-bedroom home, and the price went from an initial $900 estimate to a $3000 bill!

Digging deeper, I realized this wasn't an isolated incident; the moving industry was full of bait-and-switch scams, yet people continued to hire these companies to move their personal belongings. I was floored and upset because scamming people looked to be the business model for most of the moving industry.

So, I reached back to my 18 years of entrepreneurial experience and decided to do something.

A Decision That Changed the Industry

Around 20 years ago, I had such a terrible experience with a cleaning company that it inspired me to launch my own: Two Maids & A Mop. My journey from startup to national brand has been featured in different national publications over the years.

From a very humble beginning, it took me two years to turn a profit, and nearly three to see my first paycheck. Our secret to success? Always putting customers front and center, a concept no other cleaning company seemed to grasp.

Today, we're applying the same magic to our moving industry, and we're set to solve the same problems we did for the cleaning industry 20 years ago.
